Casual Shirt & Trainers

I really like mixing smart or dressy with casual, mainly because my lifestyle doesn't require me to dress up much, even though I often wish it did. You have probably seen I re-wear my clothes a lot (hello student budget), but I always try to pair things differently and create new looks. This blog has definitely inspired me to shop more inside my own wardrobe and challenge myself with fresh looks. This is a perfect outfit for a day of travelling or running errands, staying put together but still very comfortable.

I have my exam tomorrow, so I will keep this short. Hopefully it goes well, because I can't wait for some days off from studying. Have a great week!

Poole Harbour

Zara Dress (similar) | Zara Faux Leather Jacket (similar) | Pavers Faux Fur (similar) | H&M Boots (this years version) | Asos Sunglasses (very similar

This is one of my favourite type of autumn outfits. Over the knee boots with a basic dress and then accessorising with some fluffy faux fur. It was a beautiful sunny day, so much I ended up not needing the jacket, although the previous day it was extremely windy. A good outfit caters to quick temperature changes. I really loved being by the harbour, as we used to have a boat when we lived in England growing up, and someday I would love to have one too. Waking up to this kind of view definitely falls into the #lifegoals for me.

Thank you so much for your comments on my previous post. I'm really starting to look forward to the new chapter in my life once I graduate next year. I was asked why I don't want to move back to Tenerife, and instead want to go the States. There are several reasons, Tenerife is beautiful but still a small island from which every holiday requires a plane ride. Also, being that I will be working as a vet, I want to work in a country where people will go above and beyond for their pets, and Spain unfortunately doesn't fall into that category. The weather and coast is of course a big factor, which is why England isn't a final destination.

This week I am spending at home, inside, studying all day long. Hibernation in full swing, only I would much prefer the sleeping kind. Hopefully it will be over soon and my exam goes well next week. Thanks for reading!

Dealing with Homesickness & Life Dreams

New Yorker Top (similar) | New Yorker Shorts (similar) | Asos Trainers | Mango Bag (similar)

Growing up on a beautiful, tropical island just off the coast of Morocco was a dream. So when I had to move to central Europe and start veterinary university, it was more of a struggle than I initially expected. My mother also moved, so I no longer had a home there to return to during the holidays. The hardest part was adjusting to the climate change, and no longer having sea views from almost anywhere. In fact there would be no more sea views at all.

I have been back a couple of times since I left, first a year after and then just last year. It helped, and in some way made me miss it more. The lifestyle is very different in the Canaries to the rest of Europe. It's very relaxed and everyone (and I mean everyone) is so incredibly friendly and helpful.

This last summer I think I really started to enjoy myself here, without wishing I was back in Tenerife. When the hot weather rolled around, I took to studying by the pool everyday, much like I used to before. This was huge for me, since the water is what I truly miss the most, along with warm weather.  And now that it's getting colder again, I am actually looking forward to frolicking in the snow and embracing my last year here (my full winter wardrobe helps too).

If you know me personally, then you know my dream is to one day move to the States. Either the East or West coast, somewhere not far from the sea, and where the sun shines most of the year.

South Bank & London Eye

Have you ever tried taking photos in weather that changes with each shot? That is what happened here, so I just set my camera to automatic and decided to skip the headache. We had some spare time before our flight back, so we (my mother and I) decided to take a walk along the London Eye. There was a food festival that day and it was a Sunday so it was incredibly crowded, but we managed to snap a few outfit photos too. This is also a very typical comfortable travel outfit for me, but one that is good if you are running around the city beforehand.

I seem to be coming down with a cold, which isn't ideal at all since I have a lot of studying still ahead of me, so there has been an awful lot of tea and honey drinking. I'm also about to watch the new episode of Made in Chelsea, anybody else love that series?

Black & White Grids

Lindex Top (similar) | New Yorker Shorts (similar) | Ralph Lauren Sandals (similar) | Aigner Bag (similar) | Asos Sunglasses (similar)

This is such a simple everyday summer outfit. I know that unfortunately summer is over in most parts of the world, but there are also still places where it's hot (I am so jealous of that!). The past few days I have been running all the errands I needed so I can focus solely on studying now. Although it's Friday night, and I am going to a house party. It's all about the balance.

What are your weekend plans?

Wandering around Kensington

New Yorker Coat (similar) | Zara | Mango Top (similar) | Zara Jeans (similar) | Asos Shoes (similar) | Claire's Choker (similar) | Zara Scarf

I just got back from a long weekend in the UK. It had been quite a few years since I had been back there, and it has made me very excited to move there when I graduate. We spent a night in London, in the Kensington area and I seriously want to move there. Chelsea would suit me just fine too. London is such a busy city with so many people, yet these areas are so calm and the streets are often empty.

This outfit was perfect for the weather (hello Autumn!) and for running around comfortably. I bought this scarf while I was there and it's like walking around with a stylish blanket, which also happens to match with everything.

I also want to apologise for not posting on Friday, even though that was my plan. Last week I spent two nights at my flat, between staying at the farm and then going to England. I kept packing and re-packing and it was just madness. I will definitely have some more content up soon. This week I plan to start studying for my next exam, and luckily I don't have lessons to attend at the moment.

Have a great week!
