Black in Summer

Black is quite a go to colour for me (in case that wasn't obvious!), it is very flattering and can easily be transitioned into the evening. I know that in summer, most people tend to shy away from it, but I still like to wear all black outfits, just a looser, shorter version. Adding pops of colour in my accessories is a great way to bring in that summer vibe.

Yesterday I was out with friends for lunch and then we studied outside, which was so nice, and I think I definitely got some colour. As you can tell, I really need a tan! I have never really gotten into self-tanning, mainly because I'm terrified of orange hands and streaky lines. However, I don't know when I will have time to actually be able to lie in the sun and properly try to tan. That is the only thing about black, I think it looks so much better when you have some colour.

I hope you are all having a great week. I'm back to studying inside now,  especially as my exam date gets closer.

Back with another outfit post. You may remember me getting this top last summer (seen here) and it is still one of my favourites. I didn't wear it really during winter, but I will definitely be looking for new ways to keep styling it, because it's such a beautifully cut and flattering piece.

This morning I am heading over to my friends house to continue revision. It's been getting super hot lately, but luckily so far my apartment hasn't turned into an oven. I'm also excited to start looking at flights for the summer, since I have two visits planned.

Are you going anywhere nice this summer?

Earth Tones

This is such a classy combination, which can be worn day or night, which I love. I like that the top is simple, but has that interesting feel with the side slits, while the rest is covered. I'm also all about the cuff bracelets and necklaces. The choker trend isn't quite my style, but this necklace is, so it's all about adapting the trends to fit you. I have loved neutrals long before they became 'in fashion'. However, the fact that they are in at the moment, means staying away from shops has become a must, if I want to actually eat that month. There are so many gorgeous pieces, and I wish I could own everything in this post, but for now I will settle on this wooden clutch.

This weekend I learned a bit about using photoshop, and guys it's so complicated! The key is to learn one new thing to do every now and again when I feel inspired, otherwise it would just be too overwhelming. Also yesterday I went into town for lunch, and it's so warm! Summer has totally happened while I have been sitting on my sofa studying (which btw is still very much happening). I hope you all have a great week with great weather!

Retro White

I love this look, it's fun and youthful, while embracing the whole throwback fashion we have going on at the moment. Blush and whites are one of my favourite combinations, especially now that the temperatures are warming up. I discovered the Lindex shop recently, per recommendations from a friend, and I was surprised at how many things I found. I would recommend going into the shop if you have one near, since in my opinion the photos on the website don't quite do it justice.

Today I am going to spend studying, and I am planning on watching the new double episode finale of The Catch! I may just go and do that right now, I'm so excited about it. I hope you all have an amazing weekend.

Khaki Cropped Jacket

I have had this cropped top for about six years or more. I haven't worn in it in a while, but rediscovered it in my wardrobe, and fell in love again. It's perfect for those days which are warm, but you still want a little added warmth. I have also been loving the earth tones which are in this season. I want to buy it all. If you live near Mango, I recommend having a look, they have some gorgeous pieces this season. I got this clutch, and can't wait to style it.

I have started revising now for my exam in about a month, so it's a big one. It basically means I will be glued to the sofa with my books. The good thing is with every exam, I get closer to being a vet! You have to look at the bright side.

Blue & Orange

This is a very casual and simple outfit, but often those are the most comfortable and get the most use. I love wearing my loafers (gorgeous pair similar here!) for some added colour. I also think the right fit of t-shirt is so important to find. I like it when mine hang loosely, but are still flattering and form fitting on my top half.

My mum is visiting me for a few days and yesterday we had a very busy day. We bought lots of food and cooked lots of meals, which will be frozen for when I get closer to my big exams, which is super nice. I also went to my favourite breakfast place for nutella and strawberry pancakes, an excellent way to kick of any day if you ask me!

Travelling with Polka Dots

Yesterday I passed my last final before the two huge exams I have coming up in the next couple of months. I'm so happy to take a few days off and unwind, after studying for countless exams non-stop for the past ten days. Last night I had some friends over, and we watched the second Bridget Jones Diary movie, and I found out there is a third one coming out in September?! So exciting.

This is my outfit when I headed back home. I was flying, but we chose to stop by a small train station to take some photos, and show you a typical outfit for me, regardless of whether it's for the train or plane. The casual trainers and skinny jeans contrasted with a sleek bun, dark sunglasses and a well fitted blazer is the perfect travel outfit. I always like to be comfortable when I travel, but I also like to look put together (always)

Cream Jumper & Trainers

This was my travel outfit when I went to Salzburg, and it was a really good choice. I have had these jeans for years and they are incredibly comfortable and stretchy, so great for long train or plane rides. I also loved wearing my trainers, since we kept our luggage in a locker at both train stations (Vienna & Salzburg) in order to also go to the cities, and a lot of walking was involved.

Today I have exam number 4 of 4 this week, and while I would love to say I can't wait to relax this weekend, it's not the case. I will also spend the weekend studying for a final on Monday. Hopefully if all goes well, and I pass everything, then I will get a bit of a break next week.

Suit Trousers & Loafers

Zara Trousers (very similar) | Zara Top (similar) | Hugo Boss Loafers (similar) | Betty Barclay Blazer (similar & on SALE) | Forever21 Necklace | Asos Sunglasses

This look is a little different, since these are probably the first pair of smarter trousers I have owned in a long time. I'm pretty sure they are their most flattering when worn with heels. However, they are very comfortable and I kind of would like them in white too. I couldn't find these exact ones online (even though I bought them a week ago in Vienna), but I linked some very similar ones. Be aware they might end up being longer than they appear online on a tall moderl (and I am 174cm). This is a great outfit if you have somewhere smarter to go to, also I think the trousers are excellent for an interview or in my case for exams. My loafers are perfect for adding some colour.

This weekend I spent studying at home, and on Friday I went to the cinema with a friend. We watched Mother's Day and it was surprisingly really good and funny. I definitely would recommend it. This week is going to be crazy with exams, so I am hoping it will pass quickly!
