Pastels

If you have been reading my blog for some time, then you know I pretty much stick to neutrals with the odd touch of colour. Pastels are one of my favourite colours to wear, because to me they are subtle enough to almost be considered a neutral. They are also so feminine and girly. I tend to link to two or more similar items below as well, at different price points, depending on what you are looking for. Also most of my items I have had for years and some are from small local shops which I don't know the names of, which is why I don't always specify the brand.

Yesterday I flew back to university, and I'm so happy to be back in my bed and reunited with Cindy. I have a busy week of lessons, trips and an exam this week though, so it will not be fun, but hopefully it will go by quickly and I can be as productive as possible.

Classic White Shirt

As this post goes live, I am touching down back in Austria for a long weekend and heading to Salzburg to celebrate my brothers birthday. I will keep this short, but a classic oversized crisp shirt is always such a good staple to have in your wardrobe. Here I kept it relatively casual, and added some extremely comfortable heels. I got mine about six or seven years ago, and they are peep toe (apologies for not having a better photo!).

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Navy & White

Todays outfit is such a good classic, and the dress can easily be transitioned throughout the seasons. Navy and white are definitely one of my favourite colour combinations.

On another note, I just received these in the mail, and they are without a doubt my new favourite item. They will get SO much wear!

I'm sorry about the quality of these pictures, when I transferred them to my laptop, I realized it was probably a bit dark when I took them. Also if any of you have any tips on how you edit and resize your photos for blogger, I would love to hear! I feel like the quality gets worse after resizing them to fit my post.

Olive Jacket

Olive is one of my favourite colours to see on people, and for some reason I just don't seem to have many pieces in this colour. However, I love this jacket, because it's a great transitional piece from Autumn and out of Winter. I also really like the faux fur cuff detail, but couldn't find any similar options to link unfortunately. I wore this when I was at home, and we went for a small walk on a sunny but still chilly day.

This week has been busy, I had an exam and papers to write, but it's finally the weekend! I have no plans besides starting some work on my thesis, which is long overdue. Hope you all have a good weekend.

White Heels

These white heels are my favourite new purchase this year, and they are surprisingly not as uncomfortable as you would think. I have always been wary of white heels looking a bit cheap, but I have seen them around more lately and really think these are just the right amount of white (I know, that sounds bizarre). I also tried wearing my hair in a side plait, using my clip-in extensions (which I seriously love, full review here). The reason I haven't worn my hair this way in years is because I don't have that much hair, and the plait would be pathetically thin, so I'm excited to really try to do some fun new hairstyles this year. Also spotted these sunglasses while looking for a similar pair to mine, and these are so much cooler, and I totally want them.

This weekend I went to the carnival party as I mentioned in my last post (as seen on instagram). It was fun and while my outfit was pretty simple, I think the make-up turned out well. The rest of my weekend was spent catching up on uni work and at the clinic getting my hours done.

A Hint of Leopard

Mixing feminine with edgier pieces like a leather jacket or leopard print is a way to incorporate other styles, while still keeping the outfit very 'me'. I think leopard print looks really cute when adding it in the form of an accessory, so it acts as my 'pop of colour/print'.

Today I am going to a Carnival party, which tends to be quite an event for all the veterinary and medical students here. This year I decided to keep things simple and go the traditional cat route, mainly because I have a lot of school work and exams already starting, and need to stay focused on that.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

This is look I wore in Vienna last weekend. I love how smart and put together it is for a day in the city. Vienna is such a beautiful city, and people tend to dress well, which I love and always find new inspiration there. A classic coat and scarf will instantly elevate any look, and are very easy to put together.

This weekend I spent at home studying, since exams are starting. I did, however manage to catch up on some sleep and feel like my skin looks so much better. It's definitely the best beauty cure.

Ski Slopes

Last weekend I went to the ski slopes for the day in the East of Austria. It was so pretty, and the sun was shining which made it so much more enjoyable. We took a train and got to experience the gorgeous nature and mountains in that area. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend to go just for the nature, anytime of the year. My mum and boyfriend were with me and we didn't plan to go skiing, just take the cable car up and have lunch there and enjoy the views, which were breathtaking. I wore this very comfortable outfit, since we spent several hours on the train, I decided to wear leggings and an oversized jumper with my snow boots of course. This is a perfect outfit for a day in the snow. What does your ideal snow outfit look like?

This weekend I am planning on laying low and re-watching The Hills, do you guys remember that series?! I love watching series I haven't seen in years again, because I tend to forget a lot of the details, so it's almost like watching it again for the first time. Plus, I love Lauren Conrad's website, and it reminded me of the show.
